VISUAL DESIGN

For my capstone class in the public relations major I worked on a team for a local organization in Eugene, Oregon. Our organization was Lane Community College’s Women’s Program. The goal of our campaign was to increase awareness of the organization’s Women in Transition Program amongst the community.

To accomplish this we rebranded the organization by distilling its key messages and creating new media materials and communication platforms to reach a larger portion of women in the Lane County Community. We created a central video to base our campaign around and set up official social media platforms for the organization, as well as content for the organization to post on these platforms. Additionally, I, along with one other member of our team designed a poster series which are now being put up around the community.

My father owns Touring & Tasting Marketing and Media. Over the years, I have assisted with his company's efforts in many ways including, reaching out to prospective and existing clients, doing research for the company, creating excel spreadsheets, etc. This was a piece I designed for the company's newest branch called Touring & Tasting Pacific Northwest. I designed the piece with the idea that it would be placed in the magazine as a marketing page to promote the upcoming new company branch. Click here to see PDF.

Bureo Skateboards

For a class assignment we had the opportunity to create our own blog around a topic of our choice. I believe corporate social responsibility is an imperative aspect of companies success nowadays, so I decided to take a look at what organizations are doing in regards to their CSR efforts for my project.

One organization that really stood out to me was Bureo Inc., a skateboard company that has created the first ever fish net recycling program. After writing a blog post about the company and its efforts, I was inspired to create an infographic for Bureo to help tell the company’s unique story. I really enjoyed the process of distilling the company’s key messages down to the bare minimum in order to get the story across in a visual way, which could then be shared on platforms most commonly used by Bureo's audience. To see the blog post that inspired this design project click here, and to have a closer view of this graphic click here
